Picked up some ocellaris today and some general marine flake food. These guys are my only inhabitants in a 30 gallon cube. They are also very very small. So what should i feed these guys. How can i direct feed to avoid over feeding since they are my only two planned fish.

I tired giving them flake and mysis they showed no interest in either. OF course this is only after 4 hours in there new home.

it is normal for them to not eat while acclimating, give them a day or two and they should eat if they're both healthy. GL

Ok just a little worried is all. They seem to be struggling with my flow in my tank but i cant turn it down to much because of corals.

When I first got my clowns, they were very small and they too struggled with the flow, but they were fine after about a week. It just took some time for them to get used to it. You can turn the powerhead off when you're feeding, if that makes it easier for them.

I drop a small amount of pellets in which they will eat. Then I do a small pinch of flakes which they really like. When I feed bloodworms and mysis they will go for those too, although not with the same enthusiasm.

I would just feed mysis for now. I'm sure in the store they got brine and not flake. If they don't know flake, then they don't know it's food.

Don't worry they will eat. I would be more surprised if they ate after 4 hours than if they didn't.

You can skip the bloodworms. I think they're hard to digest and not that nutritious.

You should be fine feeding a high quality pellets like NLS. Flakes can add a lot of phosphate to your system, but if that's what they're eating, it's not a problem for now.

I wouldn't worry at all that they're not that wild about mysis.

When feed flake do you hold it underwater first? I had a clown that would not eat it off of the surface, but would go nuts when it started sinking. Same with the pellets.

My cinnamon and tomato are little pigs, they will eat anything that will fit in their mouths, when I feed my anemone they take the silversides right out of its mouth...I have to fend them off till it swallows.

oh nooooooo i woke up and i am missing a clown....he is not on floor or in tank....wondering if he bailed and one of my cats ate him. or if i have a mantis but the tank is so new i doubt the mantis could have survived the clyle. Plus i flushed all my live rock in 1.35 salt.
