Hello all,

Been running a saltwater set up for close to 8 years. Each year learning, and improving. I have fish and coral. First time I noticed these all over my glass when I turned on the lights. Any help would be good. There was quite a few of them.

thank you

Good thing or bad thing

Good thing or bad thing

They could be copepods - a good thing

They could be flat worms - a bad thing.

I would go with copepods as that is closest to what I think they look like. Since your tank is 8 years old, you should have some.

I got a population of these Chiton in my tank. The largest of them is about 1/2 inch. My Tusk seem to leave them alone and not dine on them like he does on Stomatella or young Trocus,

thank you all for the replies...first time i seen these critters kind of freaked me out..I seem a couple of copepods swimming around, but the other ones are like snails without a shell. they were on my glass. They the same thing?

There is a Newbie section of Reef Central.
You are likely describe Stomatella snails. They have a small shell that doe not completely cover them. Look them up and see if these are what you are seeing. Good for the tank.
