Hey guys, Name is Mike from Miami,Fl. Just acquired a 55 gallon reef tank about three months ago from my father in law because he moved out of state. Not sure what everything is called, so I list as many as I can and I'll post a picture.

Cinnamon Clownfish Male/Female
Blue Damsel
Blood Shrimp
Cleaner Shrimp
Emerald Crab x3
Orange Sea Star
Large Hermit Crab
Trochee Snail x4
Astraea Turbo Snail x4
Mushroom Coral
Orange Gorgonian
Anemones x4
Feather duster
3 more corals and a frag, don't know their names.

RIP
Maxima Clam and Mandarin Dragonet. Clam I have no idea what happened. One day started gaping and died that night. Mandarin starved to death due to my inexperience and lfs bad information. Was told copepods would only need to be replenished once a month and that was definitely not right.

SETUP
55 Gallon Tank with corner overflow
Coralife 48" 216w T5 setup
200w Cobalt aquatics neo-therm
Coralife UV water sterilizer
Not sure what size sump, rio 2500 pump
Eshopps Protein Skimmer, not sure size or model

Feel free to critique and ask any questions. I'm here to learn!

Question,

You have a corner overlflow, does the tank not have a sump? I ask because I see the heater in the display.

Clam might have died from a small ammonia spike when you moved everything. Looks good otherwise.

Yes I have a sump but the heater needs to be fully submerged and the water in the sump is not that deep. Also I have had the tank for 3 months. The clam was added 2 weeks ago. I have no idea what went wrong. Think I'm going to let the tank settle for another three months and get my intank refugium going before I add anything else.
