I joined your forum this afternoon, I kept coming back to look at pics of your tanks of the month, so I figured I would sign my name up to your forum. I have had a FW Tanks in the past up until 7 or 8 months ago when I decided that I wanted to get a SW tank, so I sold my 55g FW tank to my son in law and started prepairing to get a SW Tank. I went to a LFS owned by a friend of mine and ordered a 125g tank. I joined another Forum, My Fish Tank.net and they have been very helpful to me in getting this tank up and running, I couldnt have got this far without them, they are a good bunch of people. I have had my tank for about 3 months now, due to my LFS not being able to get LR for me I just had water in the tank for a month. I have LR in the tank now, and this past Tuesday my LFS man let me put a few small snail, crabs and one shrimp in the tank and we will be putting more in next week. I plan on have a some what reef tank, meaning I am planning on putting corals in the tank, but not on the scale of your tanks of the month, at least thats the plan, lol. Heres a pic of my tank as it is right now, if the pic post for me, I haven't got this posting pics down pat yet, sometimes it works, sometimes it dosn't, lol.

Let me add one more thing here, my tank has T5 lighting in it right now. I have ordered 3 Hamilton lights for my tank, I have recived one light and one ballist so far and will be getting the other two lights and two ballist Tuesday. The lights are 250w 20K bulbs.

Good to see you :)

This is more the forum for discussing pictures, which you definitely showed one.

If you want to talk lighting and plumbing and what not, I'd head over to the appropriate forum, you can get a lot of really good advice there.

Looks like a solid start, I like your aquascape. You may want to re-post this in the "New to the Hobby" or "Reef Discussion" sections for more feed back specifically about your livestock, lighting, and other goodies. Not that posting here was wrong, I'm just saying your feedback will be different.

Edit: I opened this window a LONG time ago and went out to eat, then came back and replied. I see Recty beat me to the punch, I didn't mean to be repetitive.

Sorry, I thought if you posted a pic, it had to be here, I dont know how to move the post though, sorry.

Hi strout,

[welcome]

Sorry, I thought if you posted a pic, it had to be here, I dont know how to move the post though, sorry.

You can either wait for the Moderator to move your thread or you can simply start another in either one of the forums that TitusvileSurfer mentioned.

Nice looking tank, by the way.

Naw, this is where you post a picture about the picture itself. If you want advice on what you could do to take a better picture, edit it the one you have, which equipment will do the best job, ect...this is the place to come.
