New to the area. Need help with 440 gallon install

Hey everyone! I just moved to CT in October from California. I am living in Vernon, and finally bought a house. I had a 440 gallon glass tank, and metal stand build and it is being delivered to the house the morning of Monday, June 26th. If anyone can come hang out and help move the thing into my house that would be amazing. The truck drivers are basically going to get it onto the ground off the truck and help uncrate the thing. Then we have to move it into the living room. There will be 4 movers to help, but the more the merrier with a tank this size. I will provide beer, pizza, and frags to come at a later tank once I reestablish my frag tanks. I don't have any friends out here yet, let alone know anyone with a tank, so I am also looking to get acquainted with people in the area. I will bump this again closer to the date, but figured more notice is better.

Here is a link to my build thread. It has been stalled obviously due to moving across the country and looking for a house the last few months. Going to be moving fast and furious once we get the tank in the house though... Feel free to chime in on the build, especially my way out there rock scape ideas...

Hit me up when it gets closer im usually good for something and moving tanks is generally my area of expertise.

Welcome to CT.

Welcome to CT! Vernon is a good trip for me from Mystic but message me when the time comes I may be able to make it up to lend a hand.

I was walking the track yesterday and BFish was shot-putting small children from the track pit. Kind of disturbing. Anyone who can throw a child that far, should have no problem moving a tank that big. #GoWildcats

Remember to record these kind of things in the future for our enjoyment.

Thank you everyone for the support. I really appreciate it. And I was a Cavalry Scout (19D), how about you frankyrivera ?

Welcome to CT. I'd love to help but just tore a disc in my back. I'm sure we'll meet at some point though. You'll see we have a great community of reefers here always willing to help each other out.

I can certainly help (and can bring my son) - particularly since I'm going to ask for the same help a bit later on the Summer for my 400 gal build :). BTW, I have a Harbor Freight 1000lb. lift truck that I could bring. How heavy is the tank (more than 1,000 lbs.)? You might want to rent some suction cup lifters.

Will, I could definitely lend a hand... I'll keep monitoring this thread as it gets closer.

Simon, if you need a hand too for your upgrade as well, just PM me... I just wanna see your killer basement set up again. :D RTMA is planning an ARKSC meeting at his house in Norwalk on June 11th if you want to rally the troops.
