Hi Everyone,

First I'd like to say thanks to all at Reef Central. I've spent the last couple months reading posts and you have most definitely saved me from serious frustration, and more importantly, kept me interested in the hobby.

I added water to my 40 breeder and 20L sump on November 4th with twenty-six pounds of live rock and eleven pounds of dry rock. Three times I've added five pounds of live rock after quarantine for 10-14 days (I have a total of fifty-one pounds of rock now). The last batch went in January 3. No fish or coral yet just a couple peppermint shrimp, six hermit crabs,a super nassarius snail , and an astraea turbo snail. The tank has cycled - ammonia and nitrites are zero but nitrates are consistently running between 10-20 ppm (API tests).

In early December I purchased a batch of five pounds live rock from my LFS. I quarantined it for about two weeks but didn't notice these until I put them in my DT. They have survived for two weeks in nitrates between 10 and 20 ppm, so I'm guessing they are pests. If they aren't, I thought I should take care of them. I looked through most (maybe 125 pages or so) of the hitch-hikers sticky but didn't see these. I did manage to identify many other critters though. And mostly good!

Anyway, if you could take a look I'd appreciate the help. Any tips on removal or care are appreciated too.

Thanks for everything, especially in helping me stay patient.

Dave
