Hi All I just wanted to introduce myself.

Name is Bill and I moved to Tulsa about a year ago. I have been interested in keeping a S/W reef tank all of my life but have just recently gotten to a place in my life where i can take the plunge.

I have spent allot of time reading, researching and lurking on the forums and finally feel comfortable in the amount of knowledge i have that i am ready to start the process.

I have purchased almost all of my equipment already, I will list it out and hopefully get some feedback.

I have a 55 gallon long tank but am actually hoping to use that as a sump for a 75, 90 or 110-125 tank.

Com-100 TDS Meter
Salinity Refractometer
Floating Magnet Cleaner
AquaMaxx AM Series In-Sump Protein Skimmers Model: AM150 (up to 160 Gallons)
Digital Aquatics ReefKeeper Elite (Net) Controller
Neptune Apex Lite Controller Kit - (Yes i have 2 controllers both brand new in box...probably end up using the neptune and selling/trading the ReefKeeper Elite)
Zoo Med Power Sweep Powerheads
Supreme Mag Drive 5 Utility Pump
Pond Mag 7 Pump
AQ LIFE 48" 6 LAMP T5 HO FIXTURE W/ 4 LUNAR
Little Time or Temp Digital Clock/Thermometer

Two Little Fishies Phosban Reactor 150 x 2
Koralia Evolution - 750 x4
Marineland Stealth Heater - 150 Watt x2
Coralife Turbo Twist 6X - 18 Watt U.V. Sterilizer

JBJ Automatic Water Top Off (A T O) System Water Level Controller
Vertex Puratek Deluxe 100 GPD RO/DI Purifier
50 Gallon RO/DI water tank
50 Gallon Salt Water Mix Tank

Ok so what i want to do is have a 75-125 gallon tank (biggest 4 foot wide tank i can find) and use the 55 gallon tank as a sump/fuge

I have almost everything i need to make this happen except for the display tank and stand and the over flow.

Any ideas on where to get a good tank/stand with over flow?

I have a $400 petco gift card but it appears to take 4-5 weeks for them to deliver a custom tank and i would rather get something local.

Ok well that is me and what i have going so far..still no actual tank yet but i think its a pretty good start.

Slow and steady i guess.

Also have my mebership form filled out and am just waiting for the September meeting announcment.

Hi bill and welcome to the wonderful world of salt water. I am at work so I don't have to much time and will finish later. You mentioned you wanted a 4 ft tank. Is that the amount of space you have to work with? I have a 110 and it has a 55 gallon sump but the tank is 5 ft long. It looks like you have more equipment then me but you do have a few items I would trade out for. I have used the Zoo Med Power Sweep Power heads and the worked ok for a short period of time then gave out. I would look at the koralia pumps. They are in the same price range but more powerful. I just saw the Koralia Evolution so never mind. I would shoot for the more powerful of the Koralia Evolutions. I run four Koralia 4s in my 110 along with a mag 18 return pump.I would also look at bulk reef supply for some of the items you need if you cant get them local.I think Oddballs had some refractometers last time I was in there.I also see you have listed a pond pump.I am not 100% sure they will be reef safe. You might call the company and as k them.I would like to know as well.Well thats it so far but I am sure myself or someone will help you out even more.

the 4 foot is not really space limitation but i have that 48" light and i am not sure long of a tank that light can support.
