New Tunze Silence pump

Hi there,

Just received in the mail today my new Tunze Silence pump. When I opened the packaging, I noticed that the pump itself is covered in some sort of oil or lubricant... Is this normal and Ok?

Everything just about is tested at the factory before it ships, for the silence pumps the test is done by adding a pipette of 5ml of 20% glycerin, that is what has the oily feel, it is absolutely harmless, there is only 1ml of glycerin in the pump and it is quickly broken down by bacteria.
