new Tyree LE... tenuis??

Hey Neal...I don't really understand this statement??

The truth is darryl, i dont fully understand it either lol... i was told, and then educated, that tyree had an original pink lemonade (his own that is) and later changed it up with another that was completely different looking than the last... i learned this about 6 months ago through my local club, when a thread about lineage came up when someone was looking for a pink lemonade... i most certainly may have been mis informed, and if other know more, i would love to learn more myself... but this is my understanding... again i could be completely wrong here, but upon hearing this, i was like "wth??"... how could he label something LE, and jus change the coral itself entirely?

this is completely not true and whoever told you this from your local club has their story mixed up. There is only one "tyree LE pink lemonade."

I'm going to go ahead and assume the guy was talking about the shades of fall/pink lemonade thing......Atlanits/Ming has a coral called "shades of fall" that he was calling "pink lemonade" for awhile....tyree came out with the bright yellow acro that we all have grown to love and called it the "pink lemonade" as well.....In order to not cause confusion(WISH MORE VENDORS WOULD ADHERE TO HIS) and add some distinction to his piece, Ming decided to change the name of his coral to the shades of fall and the rest is history.....

They may very well be wrong... i didnt mean to convuse anyone, or mis inform anyone, like i said, i found the whole thing very, very convusing...

At what point does a wild coral become a captive raised coral? IMO an "LE" coral can only stay "LE" for a certain alotted time. After that it becomes an "LE" coral (Likely Everywhere)

Ya, I think the person who told you that is confused. That never happened.

IF the whole frag was grown in captivity...well than it's a captive raised coral.

About the LE thing. I think the LE term is a little misleading in that it leads people to believe that access to them is "limited". I don't think that is what Tyree meant when he used the term but that is how it's interpreted. Anyone if they were truly "limited edition" would shouldn't be able to get them from the orginal source or anywhere and of course that is not going to happen with something that grows. Not a very good choice for a name if you ask me.

That is the true problem with the LE lable, It can only be vendor specific. I actually like the "CR" captive raised idea. OR how about "SR" special reserve :lolspin:

"I like my frags like my hard liquour" haha
