New VorTech!!!

I put a new VorTech MP40w in my 150 last week and am thrilled with it. I took out four moded power heads and replaced it with this single one. Much less heat in the tank and it looks much better with only one mechanical piece in the tank. The Lagoon mode is nice (what I run it on) which randoms the speed, as well as the night mode which slows it down.

The first one I received I had to send back due to the ceramic washer being melted into the wetside base at a non-plum angle. This caused the pump to quit often and wouldn't restart. But this second one has been running about two weeks now and is great.

They are expensive, but since there is no need for other powerheads in the tank now, and the cleaned-up look, its worth it. Plus I got it for my birthday from my wife :)

I have had one for about 6 months now and still like it as much as when I first got it. I had to send it in for repair a couple months ago, but I wasn't to bothered by that. The guys at ecotech are freindly and answered all of my questions. I am going to be getting a second one when I move my 90 into my 125. The Mp40s arent really that expensive if compared to pumps with similar flow rates and their controllers.
