Quick Rendring of 8-way for my 525 in progress.

Quick Rendring of 8-way for my 525 in progress.

This thread has facilitated a major change in strategy for me in plumbing my new 525... The link below will shoot you to a 1.3MB quickTime rendering I did of Paul's 8-way hooked up in a deliberately complicated plumbing scheme based on "Version 2" of the port sequence.

Paul, a couple of questions:

1) Are 1.5" outlets available? I got a little confused as to whether, or not, those are standard and you bolt on the 1" port, or if those would be special order... I'm going to run a Sequence Power Series 7400GPH on the tank. At my headloss I should see it run around 6500GPH, and I'm going to divert 2500GPH of that to a surge tank. So, I will run about 4000GPH through the eight-way if that's doable.

2) Have you considered making the motor reversible? It would be awesome to have it cycle clockwise for five minutes, then counterclockwise for five minutes, etc.

Thanks for bringing such a killer product to market! I can't wait to order one from you in the next few weeks.

Hi Sean

Thanx for the clip, looks pretty close!! (although the flow will be somewhat greater lol)

The standard 8 way comes with an 1 1/2 inlet and 1 inch outlets, pushing 4000 gallons through there should not be an issue with version 2.

The motor is actually reversible, you would need to remove the 2 screws that hold the motor in place, and tap into the existing terminal strip, bring those lines out of the motor spacer block by drilling a small hole for the wires, those would then go to a DPDT switch or relay and a timer.

Set it to what ever cycle you wish.

Hope this helps.

Paul,

All I can say is, YOU ARE DA MAN!

My jaw about dropped to the floor when I saw the videos of your gizmo in action, and those revolutions are cool.

Jim :D

Paul,

You're welcome for the clip!!! I can't wait to put it into practical application.

Thanks for the tip on the reversing of the motor. Maybe H20ENG (Chris) can help me wire up one of my Grainger relays with timer when I get to that point... :)

Regards,
Sean

you could plug a 4 way really easily till you decide where to put the outlets at a later date.

Paul

just order the sweep over drum....no back pressure.

Gey a Fourway,, Block two off ,, or feed two together . That way if you upgrade your tank later ( We All Do ) you will be set..:)

One of the other suggestions Asmujica is that if your tank is a cube style you can have a outlet at all 4 corners,, that would prevent you from having any dead water spaces in the back of your tank..

My two scents,, and one of my scwd's is starting to make noise,,, might be a sign of lockage,,,, we'll see

Hi Guys

Things have been a little hectic but under control, revolutions are progessing well and 4 ways are well on their way to being finished, hopefully by the weekend., bar unforseen hiccups they will be available the middle of next week.

thank you for all the compliments and the many calls it's been an interesting month, and it's not over yet.

Working away as usual, production is moving forward with few problems other than suppliers who don't seem to know what the word "rush" means, the larger 4-way is in production due to the requests for larger pump capacities 6,000 to 11,000GPH.

I thought 175 was big untill I hear numbers like 35cubic meters.
thats a lot of water.

Paul,
How about 75 cubic meters? :D

LMK what larger sizes you may be working on now as well and I'll be talking to you next week for sure.
