It appears more units are arriving daily, and guys being guys the first thing to do is to plug it in and see how it works.

WARNING... do NOT!!! put your fingers in there...

1 It will be very painful!
2 It will NOT damage the unit
3 You will only get three beers when you indicated you wanted 4.:)

Did someone lose a finger and call you up mad? Guess you will have to put a warning label on all of them now.

??? not enough coffee for me obviously...i am clueless

Lunch, read a page or two back. When Serge posted his plumbing pics everyone gave him crap about his background(jokingly of course).

Dang Lunch, meeting with the realtor at 2 to look at houses. Will probably take a good 4+ hours. I'll hit you up after that and see if you're still in town.

I received my standard 4-way a few weeks ago, so I can share my plumbing too. Here's the plumbing for the outlets:

And here's the plumbing of the unit itself running off a Mag 18. Also, ditto to Paul being a top-notch guy.

Got my new drum for the 8 way today as well as the revolutions... they're sweet!

Started looking for some of those extensions Paul had to hook up the 1" outs. Seems around here the sprinkler systems are 1/2-3/4". Anyone got any pics of another way to get 1" out of the 8 way?

Thanks,
Seeker

Check home depot or lowes. They always have various lengths of nipples in the pvc plumbing area. look on the top shelf

The way mine is set up, I need about 6" of clearance in the back, but I've got my tank set in a corner, so there's plenty of room.

The unit itself is about 3 1/2" in diameter.

Hey Cat dog

Glad to see the pics of you up and running, and that the revolutions arrived as quick as they did.

Seeker and all... if any of you have concerns about being able to find hard to get plumbing items please shout, I can get almost anything the same day and the tough pieces I make.

Paul

Hey Thanks Paul.. I'll look around yet before I bug ya.

I bought a new Cimarron (from Sequence) to run the whole setup.

Gonna run 3" PVC into the tank about 16" deep and fill it full of holes. A 3" 90 and a 3" tee over the back with a 2" cap on the top for priming. Off the 3" tee will be 2" flex PVC for a slight curve 6' down to the pump sitting right in the middle of the tank stand under the tank.

From there 1" PVC up to the varoius places of input. The drum I have is a 1-5, 2-6,3-7.. sequence so I'll be running (2) 1" outs reduced to 3/4 at water exit either via nozzle (of some sort) or one of the two 3/4" revolution.

Sound like a plan?

Hey Seeker

Just thought of something, most plumbing outlets thread steel pipe, see if they can thread some 1" PVC for you, you need 4 pieces about 12 inches long threaded on both ends, then you cut them to 8" and 4" to get the stagger...HTH

Paul

Dang good idea... I'll take a piece into work tomorrow in case the maint guys have one there. If not, I'll stop and check it out.

Thanks Paul,

Couple of observations, unless I misunderstood, you may have a problem priming through the 2 inch cap, yes you can fill 90% but it's the last little amount of air that will hurt you, the water you put in will drain to the tank, unless you can cap the inlet that you have riddled with holes. Suggest you fill as much of the system as possible, then insert a tube into the tank side of the return and feed it up to the air pocket... then when you get a mouthful of saltwater you know it is full .

One other tip, you may want to see what the flow is like without reducers on the end of the outlets, you might be suprised.
My tank went from having a 2" coralite base to bare-bottom in about 10 minutes looks like a gravelpit at the back.

Good Ideas there Paul. The tee with the cap is a good point and I'll see what I can do there to remove that last little bit of trapped air.

The revolutions I have are 3/4" and so is the ball link tubing I picked up for 4 of the other exits. I can't find the flaired ends I had but they are around somewhere :)

Did I mention I love our Maint. Guys at work? I'll have some threaded 1" PVC when I go home from work today.

Thanks for the ideas and keep them coming :)

Paul, LMAO. I sent you an e-mail...

Serge, You could always use the other side of your back drop (all those rocks. JK

Awesome new invention!!

I want to add, I imagine the Revolutions work like sprinklers? Once they get preasure they go down.
