I just ordered the 4 way unit for my reef tank. its a 75 gallon. Luckily it was still empty so I could get teh hole drilled for the closed loop.

Running an ampmaster 3000 on this one!!

I have gotten so terrific ideas to from Paul (who was super helpful in helping me select the right unit for my tank and goals) and from all of you here!!

I cannot wait to get this and test it out!

What pumps are we looking at for the 8-way? Im thinking of one on my 75 Gal.
That all depends on you. If you only want a little flow, get a small mag drive. If you want 3000 gph coming out a different pipe every 7.5 sec. get an amp master or sequence.

Hey guys need your help to decide on wich OM version to get , Paul recommended version 3 wich is: opposed ,1&3 4&2 repeated
anybody has this version? I will be using it on a 90g with a ampmaster 3000 .
Thanks for your advice and comments.

Finally hooked mine up. Paul was great to work with but I got the thing and left in on the floor for about a month. I got a HD 4way that shuts one valve off at a time. WOW. A LOT more flow than when I had two SCWDs. The difference is amazing!

I have to say that Paul go's an extra step or two with his customer service/relations.

Quite exeptional and out of the ordinary.

Great service from Paul

Great service from Paul

I just got my eight-way up and running... a couple of pics below.

But, I wanted to give a HUUUUUGE shout out to Paul for providing excellent service on this order!!! UPS lost my valve for two-weeks, ran over it, and tried to deny any wrong-doing. Paul was saintly in handling the situation, and worked expeditiously to get me up and running.

Paul, thank you, the results are amazing.

Here are a couple of pics of my plumbing:

jlehigh, very clean plumbing setup.... i hope those 90's don't restrict the flow tooo much. which pump are you using to power the OM?

Question about the revolutions

Question about the revolutions

I was re-reading the part of the website that explains the revolutions and if I understand correctly, it doesnt really matter wether you get a 360 or 180. The revolution with one outlet rotates 360 degrees, the one with two rotates 180 therefore after one rotation they both will have put out water in all directions, correct? The 90 on the other hand is different because it has 3 outlets, not 4.

Maybe I'm just being stupid?

Hi Travis --

I ordered two rolls of 50' from Aquatic EcoSystems (aquaticeco.com) You can also order it by the foot...

jlehigh, Very nice and clean plumbing on that beauty. I'm guessing that tank isn't the 46 gallon that is in your sig.:D

pch90265, Thanks. I just got some black epoxy paint from them to paint my "in-the-tank" plumbing. I probably could have saved a bit if I knew they also sold black pvc.:D

s13silvia: Thanks! The pump pushing it is a Dolphin 3600 I believe. Using the head loss calc it estimated about 1050 gph equalling about 250 gph per output. I figured I wouldn't want to push much more than that.

Travis: hehehe nope... not the 46gal.. this one is a 280gal made by IAP (innovative aquarium products)

I want to add my voice to the chorus of appreciation voiced for Paul of Oceans Motions. I ordered Version 1 of the 2-Way by mistake. Paul replaced it with Version 3, would not take back Version 1 and would not let me pay, even for shipping. Great service! Thanks, Paul.

New Pics

I finally was able to put the tank ahead on the priority list and finished the bulk of the plumbing today!!! WHOOOHOOOO!!!! I am a very happy lil reefer! The water leak test went quite well with two very minor leaks I will fix shortly.

I took a movie of the ocean's motions wavemaker in action though I am still working on setting up a site to host it. So here are some new pics for now: (scroll to the bottom)
