Does anyone know what type of tool to use to unscrew the plastic bolts to remove the drum? There is very little room between the bolt head and the recess that it is in. I was able to get mine apart using needle nose fishing pliers because the bolts aren't very tight but I'm just curious if there is a tool for the job.

hey Travis

You should be able to use a craftsman 1/2" socket, I will be sending out some different screws and a tool shortly, all the new 4 ways have a different screw and tool included..hope this helps

ps the screws only need to be finger tight :)

Hello Everyone!!!
I have a quick question about my wavemaker!!
Does anyone know if there is a way to change the direction that the drum turns, on my 8 way.
Has anyone done this, & if yes how?

Paul,

In this pic, are the nipples theaded on the 8-way end and then slip on the 90?

The 8 way is so compact I am having trouble getting everything in there.

I think I will be getting a 1" npt die and cutting threads in my own pipe and making nipple adaptors.

How about using a MPT end glued on to flex PVC pipe so you could still thread it in properly? The flexible pipe would allow you to bend it as needed to avoid runing into the other lines. Just a thought.

Hey Steve

Exactly, I cut up Nipples as we call them In Canada threaded into the 8 Way and then slip 90"s from there.

Always thinking, good for you,!! You can attach a double pole double throw switch to the motor if you wish to change direction often, the instructions should be with the motor info sheet. If you just want it to go in the opposite direction you simply change a couple of leads.

Let me know if you need any other info.

Weatherson, there is not enough room for two of the mpt-slip fittings that I had to go side by side.

I need to find some nipples without a hex on them and then cut them in half. The ones I have now, have a hex section on them. Event that interferes with the one next to it.

I think I still like the trade off in order to minimize the size of this. Once I get the right fittings, it wil be great.

Yea, I did that on the fitting I got, but it just does not look as nice. Plus it takes an extra 3 minutes.:)

Just have to do it 7 more times.

Cutting them in half looks like the way to go.

AcroSteve, I would check a few more hardware stores for nipples. I have several laying around that don't have hexes on them.

Pictured on Page 30 are the custom threaded 45's Acrosteve was asking about. They were built for me and it worked out so so well I couldn't be happier with the 4 way the revolutions and the great customer service Paul provided.
Thankyou
