New young neon goby with "peeling stripe" (for lack of a better term)

This is one of two Neon Goby's I got recently. About 3/4-1" in size. He's playful, so it took me a few days to get a picture. I am not lead to any reason that I believe he may be ill/sick/diseased. Active (for a frightened fish in QT), eating, hangs out with the other Goby in QT sometimes, fins look like they are in good shape, and no other specs or weird signs.

The only weird thing is it looks like his "painted strip" is "peeling" heh for lack of any other way to phrase it ;) I don't know if he was born that way, got into some fights when he was younger, or is ill.

It was bought at a reputable local shop, who says they've been there eating and in stock for 3ish weeks (no reason not to believe it) with no signs of illness.

Thoughts?

It could just be missing some scales not netting. I would keep a close eye on it as those areas could become infected.

Any meds or additives that might assist without creating additional stress? He currently shares a 20 gal QT with the other 3/4-1" goby.

Soaking the foods in vitamin and HUFA supplements would be a good idea. I particularly like Vita-Chem and Selcon.

Thanks, I actually do a drop or two of both of those as well as garlic on each feeding. I'll keep an eye on it.
