I've got a nice looking frogspawn that fully extends during the day and has very nice coloring, at least I think it does.

So, here's my first question. In the two weeks I've had it, I've tried feeding it 3 times. I melt a bit of mysis shrimp in to a cup and gently squirt it with a baster towards the mouth with my filter off. It doesn't seem to want to eat anything. Am I feeding it the wrong thing or is it just not hungry?

My second question is, just before I tried feeding it tonight, a wierd sort of gloopy thread of reddish odd mucus seemed to come out of it, is that normal?

Thanks in advance.

Oh, my tank parameters.

10g AGA
Aqua C Remora
AC 70 modded refugium
70w MH 14k bulb at 10hrs a day
SG - 1.023
Temp - 79 degrees
pH - 8.4
Alk - 8dKH
Calc - 440
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 0
Phosphates - 0.75

I add a drop of kent chromamax maybe once every couple of weeks. That's the only additive I use.

1st Question: You don't really have to feed it. They get most of their nutrition from photosynthesis. Don't be discouraged because it isn't eating.
2nd Question: That thread was it excreting waste. Don't worry about that.
