Hi Everyone.
I manually divided one of my news in half as an experiment with self propagation about two nights ago. They both opened up and were doing well. Before sleeping last night, I saw both of them in the tank. However, When I woke up this morning, one was missing. The tank is only a 8g biocube with one piece of rock in it and a frag rack. I checked the sump area and everything to no avail.
Nem was about the size of a dollar coin. Equally small when expanded as well. I would imagine that if it disintegrated, I would see and smell the foul water. Could a clean up crew polish a nem up that quickly? Its only Trochus snails in there along with one scarlett crab. Tank is over a year old and has been hosting nems for half of that. The other halve is doing great, opened up and enjoying life.
Let me know what you guys think about the situation. Thanks!
