For those of you who did not know -

if you provide your corals with proper water chemistry and appropriate amounts of food, they'll be less likely to die... and they might even start to grow a bit! :-)

After what has been a dismal spiral of death, I am pleased to report (knock on wood) that might tank finally seems to be happy again!

In addition (also with an appropriate knock on ye olde woode), I think I may have licked my redbug problem (anyone know what their life cycle is like and how long I need to not see them to feel confident they all got zapped?)!

On a couple of separate notes -

1. I saw Tom's tank last week while dropping off a frag for him, and aside from the "burnt" side of his tank, it is truly a sight to behold - ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! If you have never seen his tank, be sure to take advantage of any invites you might get to do so!

2. Tom - I'll pop off another piece of that cyphastrea decadia for you sometime this week... are you always at home on Fridays? or when would be the best time to give it to you? Also, I forgot to notice whether or not you lost your "purple table acro"... if you did, I can frag a piece back for you from the one you gave me several months ago - just let me know!

3. Mike - I noticed a lovely pink/purple pocillopora sitting on a familiar looking "volcano plug" at Caeser's last week... any chance you might know where I can get a piece of it? ;-) (now that my tank has stabilized, I went ahead and purchased a few maricultured corals online... I got light blue A. gomezi and A. loisette, as well as a yellow/green A. abroholensis... and all three are large enough I could frag a piece if you were interested in any of them).

Anyhow, just wanted to share the above info and say thanks for all the advice I recieved from 'the gurus' in the club over the past few months - it is WAY more fun to once again be watching things grow rather than die in my tank! :-)

oh yah -

I forgot to also say I'm looking forward to meeting you, Jeremy...

I'm also from Healdsburg (HHS '87), and I believe you went to school with my younger brother Steve (Pile) and my wife Liz (Lomax at the time)... looking forward to having you in the club if/when you make it back to the area!

In addition to tanks, we can talk stocks a bit too (www.notwallstreet.com - that's me in the monkey suit :-) ).

Cheers!

- Nate Pile

Right back at ya. Not an if, only when. I might have to talk the wife into 'letting' me come out for a meeting sometime soon. And yes, I remember Steve and Liz. Nice monkey suit!!!

Nate, thanks alot for the Tub's birdnest frag and thank you for the complement and am glad to see your tank coming back. I am usually off every other friday so this friday I will have to actually work until 4:00 :D but I'll be off again the following friday. Anyway, let me know and we can hook up. Also now that your tank is back, I can frag you some more stuff, since my tank is back from the stress. If you are fragging the blue gomezi, please save me a piece. Just come over and pick out what you like. Thanks

Jeremy, You might want to come join us during the Chrismas club meeting, it can be a nice welcome home event for ya. Also I went to Healdsburg high brieftly and used to live on Matherson Ave. and My church is the small white St Paul church in Healdsburg :D

Nate I think I have more of the purple pocillapora. I wouldn't mind having a piece of the loisette. we can trade at the meeting orsooner if you like. I have been pretty busy lately.

Jeremy, check the December Meeting Thread.

Tom and Mike -

I cannot do it tonight (Tuesday), but if you were both going to be around on Wednesday (11/14) evening, I could make a quick road trip to Windsor to drop off the frags... let me know!

-Nate

PS JEFF - If I'm going to be in the neighborhood anyway, do you have any interest in a piece of the abroholensis?

Nate Wed sounds great for me. Come by and I'll make sure you leave with more frags than you show up with :D :D you can check out my new left side too, its almost done.

updated delivery schedule -

updated delivery schedule -

Tom, Mike, Jeff -

Thanks to some schedule shifting, it looks like I could also do it this evening after all (Tuesday) if we're able to get things coordinated (and it fits in your schedule)... I just need to be back in H'burg by 8:45 or so.

Thanks.

-Nate

I can hit Tom's house around 7:00 or so (can't make it at 6:30), and then head to Jeff's house... we haven't heard from Mike yet, but I suppose once I'm at Jeff's we can go knock on his door and at least drop of his frag (and he'd probably be cool with us poaching a few of the pieces in his tank even if he's not home, right Jeff? heh :-) ).

So... 7:00 at Tom's... and then 7:25-ish at Jeff's? Let me know!
