Next group meeting....

I am sorry I missed the last one, we were having a baby that weekend, I think. Lots going on, head spinning.

When would we like to have the next meeting?? I am more than happy to host it at my home in Thief River Falls. We have some items I would like to talk about in a group setting that would benefit us all as a group. So I would like to start thinking about a good time to meet, even though the holidays are upon us.

November...December or even after the first of the year. Let me know what you want to do and we can all come to an agreement. I would have it early enough in the day so everyone can attend. I hate to even offer this, but for those traveling longer distances, heck, there is a casino/water park near by you could dump the significant other and kids off at and attend the meeting.

So let's think of a date and try it. I don't have a lot of corals to trade, but my day is coming. We could possibly schedule the meeting around a group buy or something...when you attend, you pick up your items. I'll have some QT tanks running and could hold them for you if need be.

I'm up for another whenever it works, this month might be shot for a lot of people with Thanksgiving and all, maybe beginning of Dec or Jan? I'm working every day of the week for the next few months but hopefully will be able to get off. Also I fragged some cloves, those green palys, still have two candy cane frags and a few mushrooms,(red, blue, greenish red). I have some more zoos I can frag if anyone wants them too. Tiffany

I'd rather not wait till Jan but the only Saturdays I could make it would be this Sat (a bit soon?) or Dec 15th. Not too promising. Maybe wait till the beginning of the year after all? Of course, I understand if everyone else can make it and I can't. I'll just catch you at the next one.

I was hoping for mid December myself. We're certainly not going anywhere.

I have an out-of-state conference first of December. And I am expected to do some field testing on our new sleds (work is such a pain!!) and that may require some travelling to find snow. But other than that, lets shoot for a date and go for it.

***Footnote here*** I just moved up here from Florida and my winter weather driving skills/dealing with arctic temps are slowly being developed. My poor car doesn't understand what the heck is going on. I know you guys don't mind and travel from here to there in rain, shine or snow. I'll try not to be a chicken when it comes to meetings in the winter.

With that said, I don't envy a person for driving down to my place for a meeting in the winter, as I would be hesitant too. But all are welcome!!

I am all for it when ever anyone wants to. I would say the middle of Dec. would work for me too. It is my B-Day on the 25th of this month so if anyone wants to give me a b-day gift like some frags"wink" I would not be upset.LOL

Anyway let me know and I can be there.

There are at least three new reefers in the TRF area that will be there I am sure!! Should we tentatively plan for December 15th at my house in TRF, at say high noon (12:00)?!?

We can do a meet and greet, have some snacks, maybe even lunch. I will present my system and what my plans are. Then maybe we can chat about what we want out the club, meeting frequency (in the winter versus summer) and then anything else.

I also have a surprise for you all, but can't say anything until you arrive. I may even have some door prizes!!

Bring your frags to trade if you want. I can't say that I will have anything ready, but who knows. AND, if we want to do a group order on livestock from such a place as Liveaquaria.com, we can arrange it so it arrives on Friday or Sat morning. I have plenty of tanks for floating as well as a large sump.

Sounds good to me I will be there and I will see if I can get my buddy from Park Rapids he was at the 1st meeting.

I need a clean up crew very bad but I don't think I can wait that long. I talked to the lfs here and he will give me an ok price on some inverts so I am thinking of just getting them from him. If anyone wants to order with me we might get a better deal.

I am still wanting to order a few test kits and maybe a powerhead but not inverts yet. I just don't want to have to move more critters to the new tank. Sorry Garrett.

Wish I had more desirable's to trade. Kenya is about all I have more than one frag of. I'm willing to buy a few though.

15th is my birthday so I better get some presents from you guys! That should actually work out though because I already put in for it off from both jobs. As for topics, maybe we can discuss DIY kalk top off systems. Everyone should be using them IMO/IME and I have tried several methods.

This is my current kalk top off, but I am guessing at evaporation. I'm going to change it around as I have ordered an auto-top off system and plan to make a bigger kalk replenishing tank.
