next meeting?

hey matt the bod is meeting soon to figure the 2006 schedule i'm thinking about putting a small meeting if nothing else at my house in 2006(i live like 3 miles from something fishy)

that sounds like a good idea to me:D.....as i live equal distance to Todd's place, just opposite direction.

When would be your guess on first meeting?

The BOD meeting is this Saturday (the 7th). Hopefully we will have an idea of dates and locations after that.

hey
we met last night and talked about 2-3 meetings in like spring and fall we talked about penn state agian and lessport areas.

also we are looking at nominations and elections for a new new of directors in the next we or so basicly we need some energenic people to help keep things moving

hey ricky,
what's that mean? you want me to nominate you?

i almost think we need to have a meeting just for elections.

Sorry folks..haven't been on for a while...busy busy busy...

Anyway....it looks like we won't be able to use a local school for this swap since it is going to take some time to setup what we are doing with them so we're looking at having the swap at PSU probably in late May. If not I'll run it here in the Leesport area.

At this point we're probably doing early nominations on the NCPARS website just before the event and we'll do the elections at the event. We kicked around voting via email, but or bylaws (for good reason) state that we'll do the pres election before the VP and so on and so forth. That way if somebody looses the Pres election, they can try for VP or general BOD member.

New officers won't take office until July 1st anyway (in the bylaws) so this should work fine at the swap. We'll just try to do it quickly before people start leaving.

Sanjay and others are looking into dates. We figure late May to keep away from overlapping Mo's event, and working with some very busy schedules.

We'll post a thread when we know what's officially happening.

Try to find a carpool.... It's a hike for me too, but we had a great turnout last time and it's worth the drive.

Then there's always the PSU tank to see for those that haven't seen it yet.

The HUB tank alone is worth the trip. Brad and I went up together last time. So I'm sure we can get a group from the Lehigh Valley area to ride together.

Couldn't something be done to hold more meetings? I see clubs meeting once a month. I think that is too often....but 4x a year or every 3 months makes alot of sense to me?

Meetings

I have found that meeting once a month is not too often. It is very beneficial for those clubs that have members all in a particular area. PMASI has meetings once a month and they have a great turn out! I have found attending those meetings monthly have not been too burdensome even though they are a 2hour drive for me! Yes, more meetings would be good. On another note, this club probably would not benefit from monthly meetings as we are so spread out!

Thanks,

Rick

Huey(embryoguy) had mentioned to me about getting us Lehigh Valley guys together a little more often. I think it's a good idea. Maybe we can talk more about it at the Calfo event on Friday.
