Next Tank project

If I remember correct, type I is perfectly fine to use. It's type II that there is a problem with.

Order the marineland from petsmart online.... it is just as cheap as TypeI from GE, and it is "rated" for aquarium use.

We have the aquarium silicone to use on the sump. We are looking for a cheap 55 gallon glass tank to use as the sump if anyone has one PM please.

Lighting

Ok so I am looking at purchasing this light from reef geek with the bulb combonation in the comments box. What do you think? Will this allow us to have a complete mixed reef tank?

Everybody has their color preference

To me that would be like looking into the sun with the 2 10,000K bulbs

I sent you a link on bulb selection earlier.

It really depends on how much blue, verses white you want to see in the tank.

It's not a right or wrong thing

It would be fine for a complete mixed reef, like Lynn said its up to how much blue you want. you can play around with red bulbs to. I like a red in the mix usually as the second bulb from the front, but its my preference so play with it a little.

Staci,

I've been thinking about this,

Whose tank, that also runs T5 lighting, have you seen that you liked the look?

There's an idea of who to ask about bulb set up.....
