The dolphins played a great game and embarrassed the Pats.

I guess no perfect season for the Pats this year, huh?

LOL!

good game dull fans :p i was hoping buffalo would lose too so when the jets win tommorow night we would be tied for first! it was definitly nice to see te pats finally lose tho

How about Ronnie throwing for a TD!!! It has really been a long time since we controlled a game like that. The only thing that worries me is that 4 of the 5 scores came from the same play.

unbelievable.....im not going to lie.....i almost cried......for the second time in two seasons.....last year when we beat Baltimore and today. Actually, come to think of it...last year I did cry.

My favorite line from any song; good ole hootie: And you wonder why, I'm such a baby cuz the Dolphins make me cry."

It really was a good game but I agree with what was said...very scary that 4 of the 5 tds came from the same play.......but still a lot of positives....Penny played great, ginn got involved...rick and ronnie were on the field at the same time!!!!

just overall good game.....and we have a bye week to celebrate with before we get back to reality. haha.

Why does scoring with the same play scare everyone. If it works you keep trying it, until they can stop it, then you try something else.

BTW- only twice was it the same play. The others where the same formation but different play, apparently they are able to run different schemes with that formation.

yeah you're right...same formation but the reason it scares me (us) is because that is just a sheer case of good film study. I have no problem using it five times in the same game but against San Diego, my guess is it isn't going to work too well. I worry that we'll have trouble scoring with another formation.......that unfortunately, in the NFL, is not a week in, week out formation.

But like you said, keep trying it until they figure out how to stop it. If it works in SD, do it again, but if it doesn't, all I'm saying is that I hope Sparano has something else ready for them.

While all of the above is true, it does tell you Sparano and the offensive coaches are not afraid of being inovative. Its been to long with the "run up the middle 2 times times then pass on 3rd and long".

At the bigining of the 3rd quarter they had had only 5 3rd downs attempts (because they got first down before getting to that), and they completed 3 of those.

That play you are referring to was used only 6 times in the game, the rest of the time they moved the ball well also. Eight different receivers for 220 yards 5 of those receivers had catches of > 15yards. Need I say more? :bounce3:

yeah i absolutely agree with you......and the fact that Penny hit 8 or 9 different receivers is a huge step. Part of the reason, imo, the run game opened up so well is because of how well the passing game was working.

Using a play 6 times in a game is actually a lot but like you said, we were so good on first and second down that we could afford to do that. That game instilled a new confidence in Sparano for me. I was kind of unsure about him but after seen that creativity which you know is a direct result of the coaching staff, you have to be excited about what else they might bring to the table. we haven't seen that since the Dan Marino flea flicker days.

We may only win a few more games this year, but that was the first game where you could really tell that if everything comes together, this will be a coaching staff.
