Niger trigger being bullied

I agree that the trigger will be the more aggressive fish but what I observe even from back away from the tank is that the tang is the aggressor.

just wait. I had a niger trigger about 5 inches long that was always being punked by a school of 7 yellow tailed blue damsels. I came downstairs one morning to find the yellow half of all the damsels missing...

Sooner or later ... Triggers. :hmm5:

Hopefully your tang will back down and leave your Niger alone.

I agree with the others it's likely a temporary condition and the fish will settle down.

I have had a Blueline trigger and Passer Angelfish in another tank together for a number of years. Both are about the same size. It's fun watching them interact. No real direct aggression, but when it's time to eat, you see some posturing between the two. The fuscus (Blueline) is in control, but the Passer doesn't give up much.
