Night Mode...?

I am going to be buying some Vortechs in the near future for a tank I am setting up this summer, and I'll make sure they are Gen 2, and was wondering about the new Night Mode operation...

Do I have to bend over and open the cabinet and press a button (and conversely press the button again in the morning to delete night mode) every night for the new Night Mode feature to work?

I had Tunze Streams in my last tank, and loved the light sensor they came with that you mounted on wall near the tank that could sense when the lights were off and auto-start the night mode... That was really handy (what I did NOT like was the bazooka look of the Streams in a 48" long tank)...

From what I have read, you just program it in and the night mode starts at the same time each night and runs for 10 hours before reverting to "normal" operation.

Correct, after you program night mode once you do not have to program it again every night. The WWD will auto-store the time to enter night mode and repeat this every day until power is cycled to the pump.

do you have to program it into every pump or just the master?

A master pump will assign it's slaves to go into night mode, or you can program autonomous pumps to go into night mode on their own.
