Nightmare worms

I was transferring a deepish (5") sandbed with mangroves in it, and I came across these nightmare worms. I'm sure more of them made it in through the transfer. Are these pacifists, or the reason my clams keep dying? I had no problem with the fish or corals that shared the space (it was a small, 15 gallon refugium that I just transferred to a 90 gallon refugium).

Yup, Eunice...you need to get rid of those.

The more I look at them, the more I think it's just 1 worm that I chopped up a few times while digging through the sand to move the mangrove trees. I've only seen 1 head on all the worms.
