Nightsea

Finally managed to get a Nightsea filter to try out the technique per juniorMC8704's smokin' article . I also got an excitation filter for my LED array, but I can see zero difference in the color using it vs. any of my blue LED units. However, there is a major difference in light output. Pictures taken with the array + excitation require almost 10x the shutter time due to the tiny amount of light that the excitation filter let's through. Using blue LED"s with the nightsea barrier filter, I can get reasonable shutter times while still being able to keep high magnification with the MP-E lens.

Ahh the Canon 5DmkII and Canon MP-E 65mm macro...top shelf liquor. This is the stuff I dream of. Excellent work!
