Nitrate filter/reactor?

Do I need one of these? Are people using them? I thought this is what the live rock did?

In many systems, live rock will do the denitrification well enough. For heavily-fed systems, though, nitrate can be a problem.

This is a tool we use for water control and cant by itself control nitrate.In a new tank with proper flow and amount of LR and Substrate and proper maintance it isnt needed and only confuses you. Whene the time comes you need one then you will know.Learn the bascis and the rest will fall in place.
