NJ Reefers Club Frag Swap & Symposium

New Jersey Reefers Club is throwing an all out Frag Swap & Symposium. We're flying speakers in from around the country and recruiting local stores, On-line stores, and local area Fraggers as vendors for the swap. We've gotten some excellent donations thus far with far more on their way. The raffles should be great.

To anyone who keeps a frag system, I say consider getting a table (or 1/2 or sharing a table with another reefer)! With a table you'll be able to setup a tank. NJRC went to Manhattan's swap with a tank full of digi and made our money back 10-fold.

Hope to see some of you there!

You can freely post this in the NCPARS forum!

Thank you for your interest in sharing information and your wonderful club functions with us!

I will be there.

Please let me know if anyone from Long Island wants to join the car pools. We will meet by 8:00 am at KFC on the service road of LIE ext.32.

I joined NJ Reefeer Club Group Buy and attended their meeting last Sunday, I was amazed by their accompolishment. We may learn something from them.

We will possibly stop by the largest LFS in NJ - "Tropiquarium" and see one of the most impressive reef tanks in "Red Bank Veterinary Hospital".

We've confirmed that Dr. Mac & Mr. Coral will both be in attendance for the swap. Along with Ice Cap, Boston Aquafarms, and quite a few other vendors.

link on where to register would be great! I am hoping to come, I asked for the day off so I could come. As soon as I have confirmation of that day off I will book it.

Monroe, NJ. Isn't the Petco Distribution center there? I used to clean their fish tank in the office when I had a maint. company years ago.

If so, is it far from the center?

The Crowne Plaza (where the swap will be held) is about 5 seconds off of the NJ Turnpike at exit 8. As soon as you exit the turnpike you pull into the parking lot for the Crowne Plaza. I'm not certain where the Petco distribution center is from there.

Check the following sites for the amazing 2000 gallon round cylinder reef tank at “Red Bank Veterinary Hospital”,

The tank I saw in Sept. is much better than it is shown on the above sites, and I don’t know if there is any other site having their current pictures.

It is 65 miles from LIE ext. 32 to the Crown Plaza where the NJ Frag Swap will hold, and RBVH is 22 miles away from there. It is 72 miles back to Long Island from RBVH.

The RBVH opens for 24 hours, and you can always walk in and look the tank. However, the MH turns off at 7pm, and NJ Frag Swap did not finish until 6pm that day.

I may contact RBVH if they can allow us to have a tour behind the scene by 7pm if we have enough visitors from the club.

Please use this tread if you want to join the car pool. It’s not a guarantee that we will visit RBVH if someone buys too many corals in the Swap and need to rush home.

Swap's this weekend! 19 vendors including Dr. Mac, Mr. Coral, Sea Treasures & Marco rocks. There should be close to 2000 corals there.
