No feed mode with 7096 and 6055

Hi Roger -

I've got a 7096 controller hooked up to a single 6055 pump and when I press the feed mode button the 1 and 2 lights go from bright to dim but the pump doesn't slow down. In the config program I have random flow enabled and 3 mins set for feed timer. It appears the pump is also running at full speed all the time.

Do I need a second pump hooked up for it to work? Controller borked?

The most likely scenario is that the controller cable is loose or damaged, I would try another cable.
