No flow of C02 in my Ca reactor....

Just noticed on my way out the door this am that my reactor in my Geo 618 isn't gettng C02 this am. Pressure and amount in bottle are good. Last maint with fill of media and zeomag was 11/1. Selenoid light is on to flow, but obviously not working.

I have a brass check valve like the ones used on the korralin reactors.

Is it my Reef Fanatic gauge/selenoid or the check valve that is likely my problem?

I'd start with the check valve, I've gone through a couple of those brass ones over the years. I now use the Dennerle black plastic ones and always keep a spare on hand.

Also check to see if the solenoid is warm/hot to the touch when you believe it should be open. They can burn out as well.

Thanks for the advice--and correct you were! I have the GEO check valve in place of the brass one till the Derlin one comes in.

can you put the brass one in a solution of anything that will allow it to work again?

Thanks for the compliment on my 2010 R35--GODZ!LLA got LOTS of AMS Alpha goodies for Christmas--the car was amazing before. Now I have dreams about it:lolspin:

Brass flat out sucks for this application. If the GEO one works go with it.
