no, not jokers

your color looks a little off . blue sand and purple frag disc? a little too much potoshop ? :)..
p.s. (dont be offended just asking.)

Hey Tony,

I don't use photoshop. I use irfanview which really only allows me to edit colors out. As far as the blue sand, I run 250w aqualine AB 20k lighting and it's almost impossible to get all the blue out, especially if you have a nice white sand bed. So I edit the photos to try and get the truest representation to my eye. As for the purple frag plug. Yes it is purple as is all the eggcrate and other aragacrete plugs in the tank as they are coraline magnets.

Also they were moved into indirect light as opposed to the original pic where they were in direct intense light which was washing out their color. Once moved into the "shade" the purple and green has really darkened up. I also have experienced a similar effect with my Meteor Shower. Once moved into indirect lighting the skin has changed to a bluish gray and looks much more appealing and healthier. I also believe the change in flow has helped as well.

It was my intent to show the pink ring developing in the centers. Not sell anything nor ask for comments on their coloration. As with any coral there's more to it than "photoshop" A lot of people use photoshop because they are unable to keep the coral as healthy as when they purchased it and don't want to post a bad photo. Personally I always post the bad with the good.

The reason I posted on the thread was just to reinstitute that they were not joker palys, nor palythoas at all.

Anyway, no offense really taken. I find it very difficult to take good photos that truly represent my tank well and through the use of irfanview have managed to capture a representation that I feel best displays the livestock under my care.

Not photoshop. The white balance is off.

I played around with the pics a little bit, but I couldn't get any pink rings to show up.

Yeah they are just developing and are still pretty faint. I had trouble getting a picture where they were visible.

sorry to but in, but I was reading that to set the white balance you can use a white card in-tank then take the photos. Also, from some photo guys said to use a "grey" white card which helps with reef tank lighting.
