NO plus t5?

I have a 90 gallon that is FOLR right now. It has a 3 bulb, NO fixture, so 120 watts of NO fluorescent. I've been thinking about changing to the tek light 4X54w fixture. Now, I'm wondering about just adding 2X54w retrofit kit to my existing bulbs. Which do you think if I start adding shrooms and other corals?

Shrooms will be fine under the 2 bulb retro and N.O. bulbs. Ive got a four bulb Icecap t5 setup on my 75 and its borderline to much light for most shrooms above the sandbed. If I were you id put a 65k and 10k bulb on the t5 retro and actinics on the N.O. flours.

Would you do straight actinic 420 in all three of the NO's? Or, any 50/50's ore others in the mix? Thanks.

all actinic, the t5's will be quite overpowering

I got T5s..12k in a 75g.. with blue actinics an thier fine with my yumas half way up.. an i get awsum growth from all my mushrooms..thats my 2 cents worth

I think I'm going to get rid of my NO fixture. It needs new bulbs and I don't want to put money into it and then wish I had a less cluttered hood. I was thinking to get a 4 bulb T5 fixture (standard 90 gallon tank), unless you think 2 is enough?

Go 4 bulb, if you not using anything else with it.
