No program language knowledge required?

Im looking into getting the Apex system to controll 4 ballasts (2 metal halide, 2 PC's).
1-48'' led moonlight strip
2-refugium lights
2-heaters
a litermeter for top off/kalk reactor
Skimmer and an external return pump

I can use a computer fairly well but have absolutely zero programing experience. After doing some research here I feel a little intimidated! I feel like its gonna take me days to figure out how to set up my functions. Am I over thinking it? Seriously Im looking at most of the terminology and language being used and it means nothing to me! Mybe once its in my hands and im playing around with it it will come together?

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Obviously I need at least 2 power strips. Litermeter is lower voltage, any recomendations on componets or acessories I should get for trouble free operation of my set-up?

Yeah, your over thinking it. Once you get it in your hands and utilize the unofficial user guide youll get it down no problem. I was in the same boat as you, much easier to understand once you have it and look at it.

Anything new, especially technology, has a learning curve. If you try to just plug this in and go, like you might with a TV, then you'll be in for a long learning curve! This isn't a consumer electronic designed for the masses. But it's not the space shuttle either.

If you read the User Guide and follow the instructions and the implementation sequence, you should do just fine. And there's plenty of help here.

Thanks guys, I'm sure I'll run into a snag or two. Luckily their are resources like RC and it's members!

I did see an issue someone had running a dosing pump and possibly other low voltage equipment. It had to do with how the outlet delivered power and/or possible interference?
Will I potentially have an issue running a litermeter? If so what is the fix?

Run the low draw stuff on the relay outlets of the EB8 - port 4 or 8 are the ones to use.

It's my space shuttle.lol...........I set this up w Neptune on the phone....doesn't work. At end of day 1 hr apart the wht's then blu's turn on 100%. The moon doesn't work at all...what did I do wrong. The whole day seems to work fine. So what ever is wrong is end of day.Obviously the ramp %'s are for reference the code isn't written like that. HEEEEELP!

I think your Moon statement is fighting with your 'If Time' statements. For a couple of days, try deleting the Moon statement and see if your LED's ramp up/down properly.
