No reefers in ontario??

There is a small shop in brantford called tropical fish room. The owner is great but he's not big on saltwater so his stock is limited. Aquariums by design is nice aswell in kitchener. There tanks are hospital tanks and all in low levels of copper to prevent ich and whatnot. Very professional tank and frag tank up keep

Right on! Where abouts in Brantford are you? I'm in the terrace hill area.
I like Jerry at the tropical fish room, but my dad and I have had some bad luck with his freshwater livestock in the past and I would be a bit nervous to get saltwater stock from him now.

i know 90% of southern ontarians think we dont exist or we're that ugly sister/brother (former GTA brat, and never even thought about the north)... but anyone got a line on any clubs/groups for Thunder Bay / area.

i know we're now down to 1 marine supply store and sadly i've been teaching THEM about marine/reef tanks... but i cannot SERIOUSLY be the only person in this 130,000 "city" thats into saltwater.

EDIT: i do know about sleeping giant reef club.

LOL, that's funny. I moved to the most northern part of NY from Long island and this is like the land that time forgot hehe. No one in southern NY think there is any existence up here either.

I'm in eagle place. I've very depressed atm because all of my sps tissue fell off 3 weeks after my tank transfer suddenly one night. They where growing like weeds! All my levels are rock solid 420 ppm Cal, 8 dkh mag 1300 Nitrate .02 phosphate. 02

All I can think is its a temp swing. Or a ph level issue but I don't have a controller to monitor these things when I'm not around. Or an issue with the water from pure water store. Soo I'm investing in a Rodi system and a basic controller. I never! Want this to happen again

I actually get my water cooler water from the pure water store on Charing cross. I was going to use their water to start a saltwater tank but I may rethink that plan now.

Ask them to measure the tds in there next time your in and make your decision from that
