No reefers in ontario??

I'm in Hamilton also. I'm just starting a SW tank now. I should be ready in a couple of months to start adding livestock when it finishes cycling. I'll be checking back in every so often. As I have been told time and again "nothing good happens fast in this hobby".

I'm from hamilton/stoney creek border. A lot of us use the fb group to swap/trade. Would be nice to see a golden horseshoe collective on here.

Getting back to the original post..... London frag fest should be in the spring. Not sure on date or location yet.

Just an update for us Ontarion's. Aquariums By Design in the KW region is closing this month. theyve been clearing out all stock. Since they opened, Stace has always complained about the high rent..... So I'm honestly not surprised about the outcome.

I guess it's now up to trading, or driving to London or Mississigua for me and my dad, Living Aquarium is a HUGE NO and big als doesn't have the quality behind the price.

I don't currently have anything to trade(unless you want blue coral), but in the near future, I'll be looking for some nice coloured SPS, and I'm happier to pick them up locally, so just hit me up with a PM.

There's a bunch of us local guys (sorry just saw this post). A few hang out at www.thefragtank.ca

I'm not shilling, but it would be nice to get a few more guys willing to trade and/or frag. There's a couple of guys with unreal collections, but there's always room for more!

+1
I'm in Windsor but I've found a great bunch of reefers at thefragtank.com. Join us!

I'm doing a tank breakdown due to a aptasia outbreak. I've got a digi (no colour aka brown no stn or rtn) just high nitrates causing no color. I've got clowns hosting a green bubble tip nem. Soft ball size hammer. A Duncan 6 heads or so and some Monti you can snap off and regrow. A green wrasse, yellow tang and purple fire fish. Tuxedo urchin and a conch. All looking for a good home and someone with the space to set up for aptasia hospital tank. No resonable offer will be refused. Brantford ont 519865312three

About an hour north of Sudbury, Ont...... Yes, living in the north has always been a challenge for getting almost anything reef.

Hi guys. I used to live in Grand Bend, then Ottawa, now Fredericton, NB. When I lived in GB, I bought everything from Tropicorium (mentioned above) near Detroit. HUGE place and really good prices and selection. The Canadian dollar was really not a factor then, but it certainly is now. I cannot overstate how big this place is/was...full sized greenhouse! Getting purchases across the border was easier then than now...when declaring, corals were "aquarium decorations" *wink wink nod nod* and I was never questioned further. I suspect that may have changed in the last few years.

Pics from 1993 tank (every single thing was from Tropicorium)

And here's one of my current 55gal reef in Fredericton, 8 months old: (sorry for dirty glass)

I now have to drive 2 hours to Moncton for anything reef...the Maritimes is a wonderful place to live.... but not if you're into reefs ;)
Cheers, Tim

I'm in Port Credit. Don't have a reef tank yet but currently in research mode.

Any Ontario expos or conventions in the near future?
