noisy 6100

I was just curious if I should be able to hear my 6100s as they turn on and off. The reason I ask is that one of mine is completely silent but the other I can hear when it comes on. They are both brand know out of the box. Both are clean inside. It would sure be nice if they were both silent.

Give them a little time to break in. I thought mine were loud at first, but they were much quieter after 1-2 weeks of use.

I have the same issue. I have also had to replace part of the impellar housing twice.

KenT, can you gove any more details? What did you have to replace?

Make sure the bush bearing is fully inserted and give them a couple weeks.

Its the part that secures the magnet assembly at the top of the hole. I have had these a few yrs. and last replacement part was 2 weeks ago.

So it has the older 6080.60 drive unit?
