Noisy box

Still loud im a few days in and this loud grindinghum is driving my wife crazy suggestions .. Im going to hold out on taking the pump out unless told otherwise its hard to believe this noise with just disappear but thats what everyone keeps saying.

What model wavebox is this, and what model pump? I cranked up the volume all the way and I can hear it and the noise didn't sound too loud or unusual. It will always make this noise but I can't gauge exactly how loud it is, it should be the same noise but fairly quiet.

Its really loud sounds like a washing machine all day the sound my camera phone captured was bad example.

Its an 6091 controller, driver 7240.27, 6260.1 pump i dont think the box itself has a number

Is the foam sponge around the back of the pump? Is it mounted with magnets or the rails? It is a 6212, the 6260.100 was the pump from 2004-2007, that pump is definitely one that can need to wear in with a new prop assembly. There is also a bit of a breathing noise, removing the lid can help with that but you have to be more cautious of cleaning out algae growth.

The foam sponge is on the back of the pump . The box is mounted with the magnets. I hope wear will signifigantly reduce the noise

Did you change the drive unit or the former owner? I would be curious to know if every piece was changed, they are much noisier if not every piece included with a new one is changed out.

If the oring looked OK and was not compressed it shouldn't make a difference, but I sometimes see really old ones that are quite flat and the main point of this oring is to dampen the transmission of noise as well as to give a void space for cooling water to flow through the bearing.

One last thing that sometimes helps is to install the magnet/prop portion under water to be sure no air is inside.

I pull the impeller took 6 pictures and reinstalled underwater my new bushing is def has some wear on it pictures on the way

Dose they way my impeller is wearing the top bushing normal?
dose the impeller look like sitting correctly inside the motor unit?
Everything look right?

is the Solution just keep waiting for noise to go away?
