NOisy sump any help

Ok I just got my sump tank with a pump it is so loud it is giving me a headache I don't have a cabinet so it is on the floor behind the tank and WOW is it humming .
Anyone knwo what to do ?

I put a towel under the tank no help If I hold the pump ut stops but I cannot hold it forever

What kind of pump is it? If the pump is external, you might try a mouse pad or two to put under the pump to deaden any noise from vibration.

I hate tank noises too, I wish I had a basement sump room.

In my sump I have the pump and skimmer sitting on a blue filter pad it really helps to quit down the noise.

Filter pad or set the pump on some rubber tubing.
