Non pulsing xenia

So my xenia acts more like a wavy set of hands rather than pulse, although the piece it was fragged from pulsed like normal. I tried moving it to lower flow area, and still doesn't pulse. It extends, stretches, and waves around with polyps almost stretched out, so I didn't think it was stressed or dying, and in fact, it seems to be growing (more polyps.)

Any ideas?

HI Guys

Mine too acts like this, is growing fine and looks good but only tends to pulse a bit at night.

It seems to loves the flow, but if i turn power heads off its starts to pulse.

Where would you recommend. In high or low flow areas.

Moderate-to-high flow. So, the closer to the top of our 12g Nano cube, the better he did due to the lighting and flow intensity.

Mine was just the opposite. It didn't pulse in the tank it came from, but it pulses all the time in my tank. My xenia is on it's own island in the middle of the sand bed with moderate alternating flow and lots of light.
