Non sticky bta

I've had this bta for about two weeks now... but I have a problem. One is that it does not ever get sticky. I've been feeding him by actually placing the silverside towards the middle and stimulating him to close and he'll actually eat it if it stays there.

I have a 150w double ended coralife light right above him. tank to sand is about 20 inches and tank to light is another 5 to six inches. I don't know if this is too much. He's 8 inches when fully opened but he hasn't been opening up and not sure what to do. I put him on a moveable rock and since the clown has been hosting it it has refused to move so if I wanted I could move that rock if I wanted.

before the clown hosted the bta would try to find a spot with as little flow as possible which could also be the problem with it opening. but I'm afraid if I drop it in a no/low flow area it's also a low/no light area... and then it would slowly die.

It's not white and has a nice green/brown color to it and the only thing I've seen it do is poop brown/dark red stringy stuff. (I hope it's actually poop) I have seen it's mouth open a bit and even get to looking like it's inside out... but not since I put it on the rock under the light though.

Any advice, help, guidance? Anything? the tank has been up a good while and keeping fish/corals alive. I test frequently and have 0 trates/trites and ammonia.

So if you've read through and have questions still post them if you have anything else to say please feel free.
