Non-Therapeutic levels of copper masking disease

I purchased an ornate leopard wrasse this weekend from a LFS that runs low levels of copper in their system. I understand that non-therapeutic levels of copper will mask disease but not sure how long it takes before a disease will show once fish is moved to a system with no copper. I'm not concerned about ich as I run all fish through tank transfer, as well as prazipro for flukes, followed by 3 - 4 weeks in QT for observation.
As far a marine velvet goes, how long would it take before symptoms would manifest once fish is moved out of system that was running low levels of copper?
I ask because I would like to minimize the time this fish sits in QT following TT.

While copper at a low level can mask parasites, specifically ich and velvet and possibly brook, it does not have to do so if there is none in the system from which the fish is purchased. Total observation time of 4 weeks should be sufficient for any parasite to exhibit symptoms, either visible or behavioral. If you are doing TT, which eliminates ich, then the 12 days for TT plus 16 more days should be sufficient.
