I've got a small juvi hippo tang approx 1.5". This fish seems to have a death wish. During the day, it frequently darts between the very sharp tips of my birdsnet coral. I'm amazed it hasn't impaled itself on one of the branches.
Even stranger is its choice for its bed. As soon as the lights go off, it heads to a very tiny crack between the base of a frag disk and the live rock. The gap is not more than 1/4" and is perfectly horizontal. She lays on her side motionless until the lights come on. I can't believe she hasn't gotten stuck in there.
Pretty amazing the places these fish can go.
