North Dakota Mini-Ocean

Holy cow! 1700 gallons! Well.. it's not as bad as the 3000 gallon display I want. Incidentally though, it was my mom's idea cause she wants a "big tank".

In the meantime though... your 600 is still pretty beastly though.

The Tinker's and the female trigger all made the ride home perfectly. The male trigger did not. I am just not meant to keep triggers.
Ouch!..Sorry to hear that. I've toyed with the idea of getting a pair of cross hatch, but have been afraid of taking the chance....

bummer. DOAs just make me sick.
Never happens when you are getting chromis or damsels.......

Wow just finished reading your thread its amazing! Sorry to hear about the losses but glad the others are alive. 1700 gallons! thats huge that should be one sweet tank! Ever do tours of you setup? :P

Well, I ordered 4 bottles of glue, about 150 frag plugs, and some putty. None of these frags are going to move ever again! The water movement moves about 20 peices per week and I have a mess everytime I come home.

Also, I am finally going to get the tunzes to do a pattern flow rather than having a 100% blast on 24/7.

The nitrates are coming down...10ppm. I am going to completely clean the skimmer sump and skimmer pumps. Then I am going to clean the hammerhead pumps and finally the OM-4 way.

On a side note...

At night it looks like someone sprinkled black pepper on my sandbed. Very tiny new snails. Literally a few hundred i could spot. New stuff all the time in the tank :)

AND the trigger is doing great! Swimming around and eating.

...Conspic tomorrow!!

snails may have come in on the rock you got from me. the cerith sp. breed well and you should neer have to buy a "cleaner crew".

I will take some pictures of everyone tomorrow when I get home. Tinker pair are very personable (already getting in the "food train" line).

Once I get the black and gem tangs (and maybe a male crosshatch) I am done with adding fish...
