Norwegian 140g sps tank

maskinsmyg,

Do you run carbon in your tank 24/7?

If so, actively through a media reactor or passively in a bag?

Yeah, I run active carbon 24/7. I use it passively in a bag near the returnpump in the sump :)

Brought my GF to my LFS to look at a new fish. Brought this with me home. I wanted an Achilles, but my GF wanted the Powder Blue:o

The Pokerstar/Rainbow Monti is looking sharp:bdaysmile:

IMG_2499.jpg

Here's the mother colony. I like the little frag better because it's easier to see the colors (less PE:o)

IMG_2514.jpg

Here's a Montipora Danae i bought at my LFS. It's beginning to color out now.

IMG_2517.jpg

Fragged my Eagle Eye Zoa colony.

IMG_2518.jpg

A little frag from the Montipora Danae colony I lost earlier.

IMG_2522.jpg

Love this Acropora Valida frag.

IMG_2525.jpg

A little frag of what I believe is Acropora Solitaryensis.

IMG_2527.jpg

Lost a colony due to STN a couple of weeks ago. So I panicked when I saw that my Multiacuta was beginning to loose tissue. The first lightbulb going on in my head said AEFW. I took out the colony and gave it a bath in Lugols solution. The coral got a funny color in my kitchen lightning:hmm4:

IMG_2642.jpg

Here you can see the dead tissue.

IMG_2643.jpg

After 15 minutes in the dip I was relieved when I didn't find any flatworms or any eggs. Phew! But why is this colony loosing tissue? It has colored out greatly the last month. I may think it is too little flow that is causing this? I moved one of the Vortechs so it's getting more flow now. Hope this will make it happy. Took some frags just in case. Appreciate if some of you experienced sps reefers can give me some feedback or tips.

Here it is the next day after dipping. Still good colour. My dip-bowl isn't that big, so almost every tip of the coral got a rough treatment:(

IMG_2646.jpg

Does anyone know what kind of tabling Acropora this little frag is?

IMG_2647.jpg

This little Acropora is beginning to stretch! Is this a Purple Bonsai maybe?

IMG_2651.jpg

Here's the Pearlberry.

IMG_2652.jpg

This Montipora Undata is finally getting some purple growth tips.

IMG_2656.jpg

Montipora Pokerstar.

IMG_2659.jpg

Powder Blue Tang.

IMG_2677.jpg

I think this is an Acropora Valida. Mounted it to the reef on the 25th. This picture is taken a while after I glued it down to a live rock.

IMG_2716.jpg

Got this Acropora from a friend. Either a Turaki or Echinata? What do you guys think?

IMG_2723.jpg

Here's a months growth for these two corals.

IMG_2819.jpg

My only soft coral beside zoas and mushrooms. Think this is some kind of Sarcophyton. Polyps are only 1/3 extended.

Here is another picture of my newest frag. Acropora Echinata (?).
