Thank you Lenoardo. I am currently using this combination:

ATI AquaBlue Special 80w

ATI AquaBlue Special 80w

But I am thinking of changing to this combination:

ATI AquaBlue Special 80w
ATI Purple Plus 80w
ATI Blue Plus 80w
ATI AquaBlue Special 80w
ATI Blue Plus 80w
ATI AquaBlue Special 80w

Does any one know the difference between Pure Actinic and Blue Plus? Please recommend any combination you have succeded with

I just switched from the combination you are thinking of going over to as I did not like that combo one bit. Colors seemed washed out to me and nothing seemed to really pop in the tank. I switched to 3 blueplus, 1 purple plus and 2 aquablue specials and like it a lot more. Corals started to really pop especially the blue's and purples. Soon I will be going to 4 blueplus and replacing 1 more bluespecial. So my final combo will be:

4-blueplus
1-purpleplus
1-aquablue special

I have heard that the pure actinic doesn't put out no where near the par that the blueplus puts out. Just my two cents

I find the light with 4 AquaBlue special kinda intense. But I think the combo above should be good? I'm looking forward to adding the Purple Plus.

Not sure what fixture you run, but for mine I run a blueplus and purpleplus for a damn/dusk effect and it really brings out the colors. I get about a 15K look with the combo I suggested. The old combo that you were thinking about going to gave me more of a 12K look and I didn't like it at all. Of course I like more of a blue look. I can defiantly say that the corals have more pop when I went to the new combo though. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

I got hold of an unusual wrasse for two weeks ago. I bought it, drove home, introduced the wrasse to the display. Went out for lunch and came back. Then I found the wrasse on the floor offcourse. It's so annoying that these wrasses like to jump.

New Acro frag! Someone who know ID?

Meteor Shower Cyphastrea. It doesn't look that good yet (almost died in shipping). I hope it will gain some more color. I have this in some shade right under a liverock. Is this the right approach?

Another frag. I think this is an Acropora Solitaryensis frag.

I think this is the same as the one above.

This should be a "Wet Thumb Acropora Efflorescens".

I believe this is a "Ghost Coral Tricolor Exotic" Unknown latin ID Acropora. This also almost died under transport.

Found this underneath my newest Montipora. I hope it is a sponge.

Thought I had lost this Acropora frag. But now I see some polyps on the base of the pug! Wohoo I hope and think this is supposed to be the "Strawberry Lemonade Acropora from Reef farmers".

Been a while since I've updated this thread. I got some new corals since my last update.

Unknown Acropora. Maybe A Tenius?

Acropora Loripes.

Acropora Orbicularis.

Montipora Undata/Verruculosus.

Also got me a new wrasse. Halichoeres Ornatissimus.

I've had a brown algea invasion here. My skimmer has had some problems the last month. But I've fixed it now. Also started my Biopellets reactor and the algea are on it's way back:bdaysmile:

But the colors on some of the Acroporas and Montis have been bad. Hope they'll come back soon!

These two survived the shipping, and I hope the colors will come back.

Pretty sure this is an Echinata though.

Been long since I have updated this thread. Got some new corals in the end of september.

Acropora sp. (someone who know ID?).

Here is the beginning of my little Ricordea Yuma collection.

Acropora Graulosa. (I thought this was a Loripes. But it looks like a Granulosa to me now).

The Vortech pumps is starting to **** me off!

The result:

New colony. Acropora Desalwii.

Acropora Awii?

Blue Acropora. Maybe A Hoeksemai?

Unknown Acropora. This will get blue tips.

I finally got my dream fish. Acanthurus Achilles. The fish ate nori and pellets. But died two weeks later. The fish seemed fine and suddenly one day it was dead. Have noe idea why. The tank seems really empty without the Achilles.

Thank you. I got brown algea because my skimmer suddenly stopped skimming. This went on for two weeks and this happened the same time as I took out my biopellets reactor. I've fixed the skimmer now and the algeas are on it's way back. I'm taking out the BP reactor when the algeas are completely gone.

Thank you. A shame that it died. My mandarin is always in front of the tank. It's actually difficult to take pictures sometimes when the mandarin wants to show off:crazy1:
