Not a cheap hobby: WTB: PCX 100 or another 1500 gpd pump

All,
No one ever said this hobby was easy or cheap. Well, It has taken me about 2 months to get my 135 set up. I just built my stand, got all the plumbing set up. Then I got an old pump from a friend and it is rusted and makes alot of noise. So...

Does anyone have an extra pump for sale, or any tips to clean it?

If it is a powerhead, you can soak it in vinegar. If it is an external pump, I'm clueless.

i have some pumps laying around. i will pm you with the details.

External....you need to unscrew and remove the entire head end, take it apart and soak it all in vinegar. The impeller should be removable once you unbolt the head end.

I've got a Panworld 250 running my skimmer and I am absolutely shocked at how quiet it is. My pump, which is equivalent to an Iwaki 100, is much quieter than my old Iwaki 70!
