First thing I find this morning, my plate coral covered in sand. Damn clown fish. Its lost a lot of color but I can still see flesh and the tentacles are just starting to come out again.

Next thing I find, my watermelon chalice (my pride an joy) pushed up against another chalice, the watermelon lost. Don't know who to blame here, urchin, turbo snail, or decorator crab. I hope it recovers. It started from a frag half the size of my pinky nail, it has now covered the entire plug and then some.

Finally, I find my tuxedo urchin upside down on the sand (he's always on the glass). I flipped him over and noticed two spots missing spines. I've had this little guy for 4 years.

On a somewhat funnier note. Here are my chromis hosting in my hammer coral. Who ever heard of a chromis hosting a coral?!? There are only 2 in the shot but all 4 go in there.

And how 'bout a shot of my 6-line kissing the glass. He just loves me!! :inlove:

What fish do you have other than what you show in the pic?

BTW...Don't toss it out if it dies. I had one "die" but I left the skeleton in there and lo and behold it sprouted babies. It has about 30 babies on it now and when they are big enuf they pop off and another baby grows in its place.

When I came home from vacation my pink and purple fingia was covered in sand. About 50% of its flesh was gone. Its made quite the recovery so far.

I have a niger trigger, cinnamon clown, blue/green chromis, 6-line, flame hawk, toby puffer and bi-color blenny.

What sprouted babies?? The urchin or the plate coral?? I'm guessing you mean the plate coral because I believe I've heard of them popping babies off when they die.

wow that sucks :( Today I woke up to my tyree setosa upside down into a mili..He does not look so good..

Also we are geting a new heat/ac system today so the ac is down both tanks pushing 82 with everything but the main pump on :(

it doesn't look like such a bad day to me.

time to glue the watermelon down and watch the niger.

Your thinking he moved the watermelon?!? I guess its possible. I have seen him move plenty of things around, just nothing that big.

One other question, do I need to cut off the dead part of the watermelon?? Or can I leave it because the dead tissue was caused by another chalice and not a disease.
