Yup !

I will agree 100% I was wrong for my actions over there on there fourm, but a more sutable (sp?) punishment IMO would have been limited access to the forums, or no access to the forum but to still be allowed to attend meetings or something of that nature, it doesnt work that way over here with CDMAS though.

I will only make this one comment.... Keith you were suspended first. YOU in a colorful way told the council to ban you and you would never be back. Lets keep the story straight. And for the record it was not just the councils decision but also the 4-5 moderators that made the final decision.

WOW!

The boss man finally replies...

Your right, I was told it was a suspension at first, But then I was told there was no intentions of reinstatement when I inquired about when I would be allowed back (hopeing sooner rather then later) Just out of curiousty who are the moderators the 4 or 5 council members you have??? (I know, whats it matter anyways) PS: I never told anyone to ban me. I did ask to be taken off the members list out of anger for the suspension at the time... "for the record"

In all honesty Joe, I never had any problems with you except for you seeming to be "on a power trip" I could care less about going on the forums, even though I still browse them, I'd be happy with just attending the monthly meetings, you cant deny me the fact that I was always 110% respectful in person to EVERYONE, but we both cant deny I was a real jerk on the cdmas forums...

Regardless of what you say, or how you feel, I will continue to post here and it will be in a respectable and positive manner related to the hobby...

The posts here have all been pleasant and socially acceptable, and, even more importantly, positively geared toward our hobby. That's what I like:)

I am happy here,

Rainer

Have you checked out the new site lately Rainer? Every post over there lately has been more than friendly and informational. Yeah it had its problems starting off, what doesnt?
I'm in no way knocking our RC section or trying to convert anyone to the new forum, but please dont knock it unless you've been over there and checked it out lately. We have alot of good things going on over there right now.
As for it being mentioned in one of the other threads here that "We will all be back to RC at some point" ..thats pretty doubtful IMO. Yeah it may not be a "one stop shop" for all club activity, but lets face it...the club has too much going on to have a one stop general forum. It makes things look messy and alot of good posts get lost quickly with only one thread being used by that many people. The new site is 99% more functional for the club in means of sponsorship section, Club news & events, and so on. The benefits far outweight the downfalls.
Lastly, as for Ken and Joe "Trying so hard to make people understand that nobody is here anymore.".... Well...its pretty much the truth. All ACTIVE club activity is happening over there. If thats too much for you to bear or handle without getting upset, than what kind of club member are you? We have all worked very hard to make the recent forum change, a positive change for the club. We have all adapted, done our parts to swing things into a positive light. It's pretty upsetting to read the comments here when you seemingly havent even given the other forums a chance. I am by no means trying to steer anyone away from the club, or rub someone the wrong way with this post. Rainer I've only met you once. Your tanks are amazing, you are a very polite, respectable person also. You have alot of great views and ideas that this club and hobby could use. Please dont think that I am entirely singling (sp?) you out with this post. It just really bothers me to see some of the posts over here so "anti-new forums", exspecially since most of yas left here on RC, havent given the new forum a chance what so ever. Just my .02 cents and hope to see yas around sometime soon.
Dan
a.k.a. WinkeyWoneye ;)

I just read this post......Dan, think about it for a second....on the new CDMAS forum in General Discussion - a thread about having NAMES TAGS at meetings somehow goes into detail about you at DiCarlo's getting 'whipped cream dreams' (posted 3/28)

ya think this might demonstrate one aspect of what Rainer is trying to express about the new forum at times??

I read your post wondering what you were thinking when you wrote that knowing we have kids/families on the site. I guess I wonder would you be comfortable telling that story at a meeting with a 13 year old girl listening in the room? Would you edit yourself and not tell it? If you wouldn't tell it with a kid in the room why would you post it?

I understand what Rainer has been seeing with the new forum at times.

OK...So my post about DC's wasnt the most appropriate....but if you noticed I didnt mention one word of a girl. Left that part out purposly.... So unless your 13 yr old kid knows what DiCarlo's is..... there really shouldnt be a problem with that post.
What does that have to do with the new forums though? I would have put that same post up over here if this is where the club activity was.... (It wasn't moderated by anyone so it couldnt have been that bad, but I deleted the post anyways to keep others happy.)
I would just like to see us all working together for good things, and 99% of the posts recently have been friendly and informational on the new site. You picked the one post that was possibly questionable, and of course made by none other than me. :p I woulda made that post over here though too.. Linda, you can honestly tell me the new forums arent 99% more functional to the club than a one thread general forum?
As for whats going on with Mr. Krazy.... I really hope we can revisit that. I dont in any way think that what he did is cause for a permanent ban, nor a 3 month suspension even. I do believe that bannings should be decided upon by all members as we are a part of this club also. Something that sensitive should be decided upon by ALL, not just council and moderators behind closed doors, thats dead wrong. At the volunteer fire department I belong too, NOBODY is kicked out without it first being brought to the floor as a motion, seconded, discussed, than voted upon(by everyone present) if the previous terms have been met. Matter of fact, every major decisions are made in that manner with the FD, even to just "pay the bills". I firmly believe we need to setup a system in similiar fashion. Yes we did elect the council to represent us, but should they really be representing us with all actions, including a sensitive matter as this? I dont believe so.
Rainer,
All my ranting toward you and the others stuck here....is mainly just because I wanna see you guys active again. Maybe thats why Joe and Ken seem so pushy also? It would be a great loss to not have you as a active member. As I said before the ideas you have, and your knowledge can do this club wonders. The same goes for Mr. Krazy, it would be a loss to lose you permanently as a member. I will push until I can't push no more of this issue until there is a good resolve in order.

my reply of last night:

I don't mean the tone to sound harsh...just that I get what Rainer is saying on many levels.

I'm torn myself with the new site. I understand the 'social aspect' for the club but the new site left me somewhat confused.

It was in the "Events and meetings" thread......not general discussion...also a members only section. ;) As I said in my previous post, I deleted it...just to keep everyone happy. I'm more than willing to work with everyone to keep things on a positive note. You didnt like that post... its gone, no biggie. :D

Also, I started a poll about permanent member banning and who should be making the final decisions in this reguard.(on our new forum) Let's have the members speak for themselves on the issue....

That's it, I'm starting my own forum. I though we were just a few here and now the numbers are growing. ;)

Just kidding, :)))
I like the activity event though it's not the best kind.

Ok, I guess council likes to run things like a dictatorship and oppress the opinions of the club as a whole..... they moved my poll, making it unavailable to everyone. This doesnt make me happy at all, in any way shape or form. I thought this club was supposed to be run democratically....

I LOVE being slapped in the face by the people I was previously defending.....give you a sense of warmness inside :mixed:
I dunno I give up....hahahhaa I just wanted to see everyone back together working as a club should. Guess that is too much to ask of everyone, including council. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR :mad2:

Dan, you were posting while I was posting my last reply so I didn't see what you wrote until I was done.

Also, I didn't mean to pick on your post...just that I happened to land on it while peeking at the site while on vacation. ...just that it came to mind when reading this thread.

(dan, call me ;) ....I got home last night)

Hahahha,
No worries Linda. I know you didn't mean anything on a personal level by targeting my post. I didn't delete it to throw off your story either. Just figured since it wasnt liked, really wasnt the most appropriate place for it..it didnt belong..... aka self-moderation. Thats one good thing about being able to delete posts.... if at a later time, you realize its not appropriate...you can take care of it yourself. ;)
I'll call you shortly.

i am so staying out of this one. we all know how I feel about things. I just wanted to say hello to reiner and crew who I never get to talk to anymore.

rofl...this is funny...it's like xian and spelling....

'event and meetings' is NOT members only...Events and Meetings is a Public board.

The other feature I prefer on RC is the time limit to change a post...60 mins. (great if a post was made in haste, for spelling, rewording...whatever the reason) A small window of opportunity to make a change is nice.

Being able to delete or change a post at any time doesn't seem like the best idea IMO.

Guys and Girls, Can we all just hit the breaks for a second, This is getting out of hand again. Decisions are always made to benefit the club as a whole, and a lot of thought goes into them.

Dan I pmed you on the new forum about the thread that was moved, please read it and contact me if necessary. If you did not get it let me know so I can re-send it to you. We need to work together.
