not new to the hobby but new to Ich

I pickup a coral from a friend and now look like I have Ich in my reef tank. What should I do? I put it in three days ago and last night I see white spots on on my tangs. AT this time I feeding them food with Garlic Xtreme on it. Anything you can tell me would be great I have not had ich for about 10 years.

If your fish are in good health and there isn't anything to stress them concerning water quality, in all likelihood, the ich will pass.

Thanks fish are in great shape.
I did move some lr around to put some new coral in.
This may have stress them.

I just want to add to keep a good eye out for the ich. The ich life cycle is that it attatches to fish then drops off into the substrate to reproduce. When ready it goes into the water column to look for new hosts, so when you think you got rid of it it may be back. Also Garlis has no proven effects against ich

I would set up a hospital tank and do hyposalinity treatment. The ich might pass, but it might also continue to infect the animals at a low rate, and would then be a danger to any added fish. Fish can develop natural protection from ich via exposure.
