Not so good experience.......

Well it is like this....... I called Marine Depot on friday prior to placing an order for the Reefkeeper Elite. I was told they had them in stock (the only reason I called) so I ordered it with the Net module. I then called back a couple of hours later to see if I could pay extra and get Saturday delivery and I was told that it already shipped. This was all done early friday between 10:00 and 12:00. No problem yet, I was on their website that night putting together another order when I received an email around 7:30 saying that it was out of stock and was on back order. So I called them on saturday morning to see what was going on. I was told they just moved their warehouse and the two they were showing in inventory were lost. They said they would find them monday morning and ship mine out and I would have it tuesday. Anyway, I called again monday around 11:00 and had to explain my situation once again so they placed me on hold and went to look for it in the warehouse which they had no luck finding it. The lady said she would find out when the back order would be filled and would call me back. An hour later she called back saying it would be thursday and I should have mine by the next week. Having enough of this by now I thanked her for what she had done to this point and asked to talk to a manager.

So the manager got to the phone and we went through the whole ordeal with him once again. All I could get out of him was that they "should get the order on Thursday" and then they would ship me mine. He didn't even offer to overnight it to me or anything until I mentioned it to him. He then said that he wasn't even sure they would be there on thursday. I guess when it comes down to it, they had my $600 so why do they need to do anything me? Customer service! That's the answer.

Finally, I was offered a refund and I took him up on it. That was the only thing they got right. I was emailed shortly after getting off the phone by PayPal saying that Marine Depot had refunded my money. Of course it will take a few days before I actually get the money back in my account.

Summary: Got my money refunded, called AquaCave and placed order which will be delivered tomorrow, and am not going to order the other $400 worth of stuff or anything else from Marine Depot.

That is quite an anomaly.

You should give them another chance. Things happen.

I can tell you from years of experience with Marine Depot, they are a good group of people.
